With the countdown to the inaugural Camp Bestival whizzing by we have a few special announcements to whet the appetite for a magical weekend in the luscious surrounds of Lulworth Castle. Plus we have been busily updating this website with loads of fresh information on things like our Heavenly Healing area, the Restival chill out zone, The Dingly Dell Trail (formerly known as Theatre in the Woods), the Groovie Movie Solar Powered Cinema, our new Happy Campers area, the glorious food options awaiting you, some Medieval Jousting (yep!) and we have added some new luxury Boutique Camping options … and lots more!

First up, marking the point where the cutting edge meets the real kids, Coldcut legend Jon More will be serving up a unique ‘Sounds For The Kids’ DJ set featuring Gospel and Hip Hop versions of timeless treats for tots and the young at heart, including a reggae version of ‘This Old Man’! Commenting on the bambino beats outing Jon said “I’ve had this notion of putting together a children’s set for some time and I talked myself into doing it for Camp Bestival. It’ll be all your favourites and more but maybe not the versions you know! Make sure you bring a child or leave your adult self at the tent door!”

With Camp Bestival extolling all the joys of camping out, it’s not a surprise that the Boutique Camping has been so popular, so we’ve bagged even more space in the grounds of Lulworth Castle to offer you even more options. With a vast choice that now includes Beach Huts, BusBeds, Ship’s Cabins, a Frontier Wagon and even more Tipis and Yurts, there’s no excuse not to spend the weekend in style. Check the Camping section of this website for more info and to book yourselves in!

And Tangerine Fields will also be there with their handy ready-pitched tent service. Again, check the Camping section for more on that. Plus Camp Bestival will have plenty of hot Posh Wash gas powered showers, with tea and toast while you wait, for a more civilised festival touch.

With Restival proving such a popular destination at last year’s Bestival it’s set to make an appearance at Camp Bestival. The ultimate in chill-out areas, Restival will feature a beautifully decorated garden area, a 24-hour café, a cinema and some super laidback action to indulge in. More info in the What Else section...

And if that’s your kind of thing, then we recommend checking out the Heavenly Healing area where you can be sure of a proper pampering, with Yoga, Shiatsu, Aromatherapy massage and reflexology amongst many other treatments available plus there will be a selection of treatments for children too. More info in the What Else section...

We have always prided ourselves on hand selecting the finest mobile eateries known to man and at Camp Bestival this tradition will be firmly upheld and quite possibly exceeded with food outlets serving top nosh from across the globe. With Pure Pie (and Pieminister), La Grande Bouffe, the solar and wind powered vegetarian café Hurly Burly, Risotto2go, Gujarati Rasoi and The Sea Cow, amongst many, many other stalls, there’s a truly vast choice of delicious nosh available. More info in the What Else section...

There will also be a Happy Campers area opening at 8am each morning with myriad activities to keep the whole family occupied, Karaoke with a twist featuring Folkaoke, Karauke (with Ukuleles!), and Hip Hop Karaoke, a Medieval Jousting tournament, a late night Solar Powered Cinema and The Dingly Dell Trail is the new name for our Theatre in the Woods program… and it’s looking very special indeed! Plus don’t forget to get involved in the Camp Bestival Jug Band and Marching Band!

There are also a few Voluntary Work positions still available ... more info in the What Else section ... but be quick!
